Question by Lizzie Marie: Candles in Traditional Wedding Ceremony?
I was watching Fresh Prince, and during the aunt's wedding, the bride and groom are each holding a candle. Towards the end of the ceremony, they each say "may our love burn as brightly as this candle." and then each, at the same time, use their candles to light a bigger candle.
I am an Episcopalian and have never seen this custom but thoroughly found romantic. Candles symbolize passion and fire as well as
