How come you can hear the word "B***H" on TV, but not on a Lady Gaga CD?

Question by coorissee: How come you can hear the word "B***H" on TV, but not on a Lady Gaga CD?
First an observation and then my question:

Not knowing until recently that Walmart has a no-explicit lyrics clause in their music department, I picked up a copy of the "Fame Monster" at their store. I LOVE Lady Gaga and *really* enjoy her music! I got home, popped her CD in my player and heard puffs of air where the word "b***h" should be!

Now mind you, I can hear "a**", and
