ear gauges.?

alright; so i have my ears gauged to 1/2". i have solid plugs in at the moment.

i was wondering if i put in a "dangly earing" like most girls wear at the bottom of my gauge (between where the skin and bottom of the gauge meet), would that cause problems?

basically, i have the plug and earring both in my hole at the moment. it's not stretching it anymore because it isn't heavy, but i'm just making sure.
